1五 发怨言和起争论这二者都拦阻我们经历并享受基督，以致祂不能在我们里面并借着我们照耀，使祂得着荣耀—二14：
1E Murmurings and reasonings both frustrate us from experiencing and enjoying Christ so that He may shine in us and through us for His glory—2:14:
2１ 发怨言是不满足而暗自唧咕并发牢骚，包括挑剔、暗自争论、不悦和抱怨；“你们也不要发怨言，像他们有些人发的，就被灭命的所灭”—林前十10。
2１ Murmurings are discontented and secret mutterings and grumblings, including faultfinding, secret debate, displeasure, and complaining; "neither murmur, just as some of them murmured and perished by the destroyer"—1 Cor. 10:10.
3２ 起争论是争执和讨论，带着不信或疑惑的声调，包括辩论、怀疑、下推断或结论—参提前一3~6，六3~4，林后十一2~3。
3２ Reasonings are disputes and discussions that carry an undertone of suspicion or doubt; they include questionings and doubting and the drawing of inferences or conclusions—cf. 1 Tim. 1:3-6; 6:3-4; 2 Cor. 11:2-3.
4３ 背叛和毁谤的话是从理由来的；主的仆人必须蒙拯救脱离理由，蒙主光照而有“有福的盲目”，在光的权下，在生命的范围里，活在基督的作头之下，而不在黑暗的权下，落在对错的范围里—徒二二10，西一12~13，罗九20~21，十一34，参徒十六25。
4３ Rebellious and reviling words come from reasons; a servant of the Lord must be delivered from reasons, being enlightened by the Lord to have a "blessed blindness" to live under Christ's headship in the realm of life under the authority of light and not in the realm of right and wrong under the authority of darkness—Acts 22:10; Col. 1:12-13; Rom. 9:20-21; 11:34; cf. Acts 16:25.
5４ 人的背叛是表现在话语、思想和理论上；思想和理论是神的对头撒但，在悖逆神的人心思里坚固的营垒；这些理论必须借着属灵的争战攻倒，各样的思想也必须掳来，使其顺从基督—林后十3~5。
5４ Man's rebellion is manifested in words, thoughts, and reasons; thoughts and reasons are the strongholds of Satan, God's adversary, within the minds of those who are disobedient to God; through the spiritual warfare, reasonings must be overthrown, and every thought must be taken captive to obey Christ—2 Cor. 10:3-5.
6５ 在利未记十八至二十二章，神每次吩咐祂的百姓当怎样作时，中间就插进来说，“我是耶和华”，连“因为”两字都不用—“我是耶和华”就是理由。
6５ Every time the Lord commanded His people to do something in Leviticus 18—22, He inserted the words "I am Jehovah" in between the commands; there is not even the word because—"I am Jehovah" is the reason.
7六 蒙拯救脱离发怨言和起争论，而活基督，并作基督的发光体照耀基督的路，乃是留在与祂这位在我们里面作推动能力者的接触里；这是借着享受祂作生命的话，在祷告中留在与祂的交通里，并且在我们奇妙的灵里凭着三一神这奇妙的灵，过喜乐、感谢并赞美的生活，使基督得着荣耀的身体—腓一19，二13，三10，四13，二15，四6，帖前五16~20。
7F The way to be saved from murmurings and reasonings in order to live Christ and shine out Christ as His luminaries is to stay in contact with Him as our inward motivating power by enjoying Him as the word of life, staying in fellowship with Him in prayer, and living a rejoicing, thanking, and praising life in our wonderful spirit by the Triune God as the wonderful Spirit for the glorious Body of Christ—Phil. 1:19; 2:13; 3:10; 4:13; 2:15; 4:6; 1 Thes. 5:16-20.

8腓二14~15 凡所行的，都不要发怨言，起争论，使你们无可指摘、纯洁无杂，在弯曲悖谬的世代中，作神无瑕疵的儿女……。
8Phil. 2:14-15 Do all things without murmurings and reasonings that you may be blameless and guileless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverted generation…
9怨言是出于情感，多半发自姊妹；争论是出于心思，多半起于弟兄。这二者都阻挠我们，使我们不能完成自己的救恩到最完满的地步，也不能经历并享受基督到极点。
9Murmurings are out of our emotion, mostly on the part of the sisters; reasonings are out of our mind, mostly on the part of the brothers. Both frustrate us from carrying out our salvation to the fullest extent, from experiencing Christ to the uttermost.
10顺从神就消杀一切的怨言和争论。我们若要作成自己的救恩，就必须顺从那在我们里面运行的神。祂自己就是我们的救恩；我们顺服祂，就是作成我们的救恩。
10Obedience to God slays all murmurings and reasonings. In order to work out our salvation, we must obey the very God who operates in us. He Himself is our salvation, and our obedience to Him is the working out of our salvation.
11保罗在腓立比二章十四节论到发怨言、起争论的话，进一步指明，保罗写腓立比书的目的与道理无关，却与经历非常有关。发怨言和起争论是阻挠我们基督徒生活的重要因素。……我们常常在重大的事情上不发怨言，不起争论，但我们却容易在小事上发怨言，起争论。任何一种的怨言或争论，都是不顺从三一神在我们里面的运行。我们何等需要主拯救我们脱离发怨言和起争论！（腓立比书生命读经，一二六至一二七页）
11Paul’s word in Philippians 2:14 about murmurings and reasonings is a further indication that his purpose in writing [this] book…was not related to doctrine but very much related to experience. Murmurings and reasonings are important factors that frustrate our Christian life…Often in important matters we may not murmur or reason. But in small matters we are prone to murmurings and reasonings. Any kind of murmuring or reasoning is disobedience to the inner working of the Triune God. How we need the Lord to save us from our murmurings and reasonings! (Life-study of Philippians, pp. 105-106)

12人背叛权柄，是表现在话语中、理由上、思想上。人若不认识权柄，就有毁谤的话，但这是从理由来的，是因他有理由。挪亚赤身露体，含是有理由毁谤的。米利暗说摩西娶古实女子是说事实，是有理由的。但顺服权柄、活在权柄下的人，就不活在理由里。又如可拉党及二百五十个首领，他们说，全会众都是圣洁的，耶和华也住在他们中间，〔摩西和亚伦〕为何自高超过耶和华的会众呢？这些人的背叛也是有理由的。毁谤的话语常是从理由产生的。大坍、亚比兰所说的，好像理由更充分，他们对摩西说，你没有将我们领到流奶与蜜之地，也没有把田地和葡萄园给我们为业，这里是旷野。你不过想遮蔽我们的眼目，难道你要剜我们的眼睛么？（民十六13~14）这意思是：〔他〕们的眼睛看得很清楚。他们越想越有理由。……越想理由越多。世界的人都是活在理由里，如果我们也活在理由中，就与世人有何分别呢？
12Man’s rebellion is manifested in words, reasons, and thoughts. If a man does not know authority, there will be reviling words…Man speaks because he thinks he has a reason. Ham thought that he had a reason to revile Noah because he was naked. Miriam’s word concerning Moses marrying an Ethiopian woman was a fact; she had a reason. However, those who submit to authority and live under authority do not live in their reasons. Korah’s company and the 250 leaders said that Moses and Aaron should not put themselves above the others because the whole congregation was holy and Jehovah was in their midst. Again, their rebellion had a reason behind it. Reviling words often come from reasons. Dathan and Abiram had even more reasons. They charged that Moses had not brought them into the land flowing with milk and honey, that he had not given them the inheritance of fields and vineyards, but rather that they were still in the wilderness. They charged that Moses was just covering up their eyes, saying, “Will you put out the eyes of these men?” (Num. 16:14). This meant that their eyes were very clear. The more they thought, the more reason they had…The more thinking there is, the more reasons are stirred up. In the world everyone lives in reasons. What difference is there between us and the worldly people if we also live in reasons?
13到底我们的生活是根据理由，还是根据权柄？……光一照，什么理由都丢掉了。保罗在往大马色的路上，被大光一照，就真瞎了眼睛，再也不管理由了（徒九3、8）。摩西不是剜掉了眼睛的人，但他好像没有眼睛一样。……事奉神的人，眼需要瞎，要脱离理由的生活。心中的理由是背叛的头一个原因。所以若不把理由对付清楚，话语是禁止不住的。
13Are our lives based upon reasons or upon authority?…Once the light comes, all reasons are gone. Once Paul was enlightened on the way to Damascus, he became truly blind. From then on he did not care for reasons (Acts 9:3, 8). Moses’ eyes were not put out, but he was like a man without eyes…A servant of the Lord must be blind. He must be delivered from a life of reasons. Reasoning in the heart is the first cause of rebellion. Hence, if we do not deal thoroughly with reasons, it is impossible to stop the words.
14〔在〕利未记十八至二十二章，神每次吩咐以色列人当怎样作怎样作之时，中间就插进来说，“我是耶和华”，……没有理由。“我是耶和华”就是理由，你若看见了，从今天起你就不再靠理由活着。要对神说，往日我一直靠着思想、理由活着，今天我俯伏敬拜神，只要这一个是神作的，我就够了，我就要敬拜。保罗从大马色路上倒下之后，理由都丢掉了，光一照人就倒了。保罗头一句话说，“主啊，我当作什么？”〔徒二二10〕他马上顺服下来。认识神的人都不是讲理由的。真被光照审判，理由就被消灭了（倪柝声文集第三辑第一册，二○三至二○四、二○九页）。
14Every time the Lord commanded the Israelites to do something in Leviticus 18—22, He inserted the words, “I am Jehovah,” in between the commands…There need be no other reason. “I am Jehovah” is the reason. If we see this, we will not live by reason from this day on. We have to say to God, “In the past I lived by my thoughts and reasons. Today I bow down and worship You. As long as it is of You, it is enough for me. I will worship You.” When Paul was struck down on the way to Damascus, all reasons vanished from him. Once light shines in, a person falls down. The first word that came out of Paul’s mouth was, “What shall I do, Lord?” (Acts 22:10). Immediately, he became obedient. Those who know God do not reason.
